Wine Gathering is our monthly celebration of community, thoughtful food, and distinctive wines at Windy Hill Farm and Preserve. Each evening centers on a specific wine-making style and is paired with a chef-driven set menu designed to complement and elevate every glass.

September 16 | Harvest Table

This month’s Wine Gathering welcomes Race Family Farmstead as our featured guest for an evening centered on the relationship between the land, the farmer, and the table.

Race Family Farmstead is a first-generation East Tennessee farm rooted in regenerative agriculture and permaculture practices. Their pasture-raised poultry and eggs and forest-raised pork are among the ingredients that regularly make their way into the kitchen at Wilder.

Throughout the evening, we’ll hear from the Race family about their approach to farming, their connection to the land, and the care behind the ingredients on the table.

The evening’s wines will explore Old World traditions and minimal-intervention winemaking, with selections chosen for their sense of place. A four-course menu from Wilder will bring it all together, highlighting ingredients from Race Family Farmstead alongside our own garden and other farms and producers we’re fortunate to work with.

Hosted in our newly renovated dining room at Wilder, Harvest Table is an opportunity to meet one of the local families we’re proud to work alongside and experience the season through the farm, the kitchen, and the glass.
