Event description

Join us for the HATCH: Taronga Accelerator Program Pitch Event 2021 to hear from our passionate founders about the brilliant initiatives they are hatching for the planet.

Our six teams came into the HATCH Program with exciting ideas to improve wildlife conservation and create a more sustainable future. Over the past three and a half months they have inspired us with their passion, commitment and perseverance to drive their initiatives forward amidst all the challenges 2021 has presented.

The HATCH 2021 teams are:

  • Carapac - Carapac is changing the world of packaging with sustainable plastic alternatives made from crustacean shell waste, that can be home composted in 3-6 weeks and extend shelf life of fresh produce.
  • Sine Surf - Sine Surf make some of the most sustainably manufactured surfboards on the planet, designed for performance and making a sustainable surfing lifestyle affordable and available to every surfer.
  • Spottr - Spottr is an integrated thermal-optic drone reconnaissance platform for automated location and species identification. For large private and public land managers it makes everything from feral management, to stock monitoring to wildlife protection materially more efficient and effective.
  • The Pedal Club - The Pedal Club is a kids bike subscription service seeking to provide parents with a more flexible, convenient and sustainable alternative to buying children's bicycles and in turn reducing bike waste globally.
  • Visible - Visible is a creative agency that works with conservation causes that just want to get on with doing their impactful work, to heighten awareness of what they do and grow their funding streams.

  • Xylo Systems - Xylo Systems is a cloud-based platform for conservation teams to connect, track and manage conservation projects. Xylo is
turbocharging threatened species management with technology to tackle the extinction crisis faster, together.

This pitch event is your chance to learn more about these six exciting initiatives and hear from and connect with the founders. We are so proud of our teams and excited by their ventures and can’t wait to share them with you!
