Hatha Yoga at The Courts
Description
As summer turns to autumn, and we begin to welcome in the cooler weather, Bristol BID's weekly yoga sessions migrate from the city's favourite parks to a selection of warmer, indoor venues. Ease into this transition by exploring a range of spaces to practice in with us.
This week's session will be held at The Courts - Creative Youth Network. Formerly an abandoned Old Magistrate's Court, the space has been repurposed into a vibrant, creative hub with heritage features.
The Space...
Entrance to The Courts can be found on Bridewell Street, in the city centre. It is findable on what3words as: ///stop.deck.leads.
In the event that the doors to The Courts are not open, please ring the buzzer to be let in.
Upon entering, you will find a large communal space where a member of the BID team will greet you and show you to Courtroom 4, where we will take our practice.
Please bring your own yoga mat.
The Teacher...
Join Emily as she guides you through a nourishing series of gentle asanas in a practice focused on mindfully building strength, flexibility and finding mental tranquillity. Settle into some deep stretches, using your breath to mediate between mind and body, to ease away the morning's tensions and recalibrate ready for the afternoon ahead. Come along to retune your energy in alignment with energy of nature.
Emily believes that yoga gives people the opportunity to let go and connect with themselves on a deeper level. It is a way to ease the tensions that unknowingly build up throughout the mundanity of daily life. Wellbeing and mindfulness are at the foundation of Emily's practice, as she encourages you to dissolve your ego and listen to the needs of your body.
