Haven Presents: D.tiffany, softi, Ari Kiko, Castla, & Asha Franco

Haven positions itself as a high quality temporary venue where people can celebrate music and connect with their community before the building is inevitably redeveloped. The entire space is built entirely with salvaged materials; a nod to the space's transient nature. The impermanence of the space becomes part of its power, building urgency and turning each night of unique programming into a rarity.

The venues story is also shaped by the history of the building. An old Woolworths site now being transformed into a venue for culture. By doing this we are turning the commercial into the cultural and embodying our grassroots communal spirit. Pairing one of Australia's most ambitious venue fit outs by Buckworth & Co, with an incredible Danley Sound Labs system; setup with upmost care by Hugo at Sound is Everything, light design by Tony Funicello and an incredible array of artists we cannot wait to share our vision with you all.

D.Tiffany (CAN)

D. Tiffany (Sophie Sweetland) is a Canadian electronic musician, DJ, and producer known for her "tripped-out," bass-heavy, and breakbeat-influenced sound. Originally from Vancouver and now based in Berlin, she is also the founder of the underground label Planet Euphorique. Her work includes solo projects, collaborations with artists like Roza Terenzi, and releases on various labels including Delicate Records and Plush Records Inc.

softi (UK)
Jazz Brown aka Softi, is an Luton born, Derry raised electronic DJ & Producer, now based in SE London.

Known for her experimental genre bending, tempo changing sets, she has gained her self recognition amongst the UK underground scene with resident shows on Rinse Fm, Balamii and Kindred. Mind behind Cozi, a forward thinking party, radio show and community pushing sounds that stimulate the senses, focusing on positive mental health in underground music and clubs”

Castla

Castla is the kind of musical chameleon you might find opening with idm, rnb and dub tracks or running full speed at peak time.

He has been featured on The Lot radio in NYC and Noh in Istanbul as well as contributing a mix for Steeplejack rec earlier this year. With an insatiable appetite for new sounds expect the process of discovery to be mutual and the selection to be intuitive and alive.

Asha Franco

Asha Franco is a Northern Rivers-based DJ, vocal artist, and actor known for her musical versatility, enriched by her diverse cultural lineage—encompassing Jewish, African, and Middle Eastern heritage—her roots weaving rich tapestries within the realm of her music.

Starting with a strong foundation in jazz, she now embraces a wide range of genres from around the world, showcasing her passion for music through her eclectic selections, spanning from jazz fusion to hip-hop, electronic to dancehall, and more.

For Asha, music is a powerful form of communication, which she formerly explored through her show Earth Tones on Skylab Radio while based in Melbourne.
