Join us for the Hawkes Bay Pasifika Fono - a space for Pasifika Creatives, Artisits (Individuals/Groups/Communities) to come together and talanoa about the needs and dreams of our Pasifika Creatives in Hawkes Bay. 

FREE EVENT/ RSVP TODAY - Open to our Pasifika community including artists and creatives of any age and any level as well as their families/supporters 

Nevertheless in partnership with Creative New Zealand is holding this fono as a way to ensure our voices of Pasifika Artists in Hawkes Bay is heard. 

What to expect at the HB Arts Fono? 

Open Talanoa sessions (and other ways to voice your opinion) around the following topics: Who are our Pasifika Artists in HB? What are the needs and dreams of our HB Pasifika Artists & Creatives? What impact/role does the arts have on our Pasifika and wider communities here? Pasifika Festivals in Hawkes Bay - what does everyone want to see? And most importantly - how can funders like Creative NZ help us achieve our collective and individual goals as artists or creatives 

- Amazing Performances by our local Komiuniti Tonga 'o Hawkes Bay dance group led by Punake Lusila Kavapele Hiko and also local Cook Island dance group Toku Parataito.

Seidah Tuaoi - Hip Hop Champion Dancer/Choreographer & Dance Teacher at Karamu Highschool

Nafanua Kersel - Samoan Poet, Writer & Author 

Tawa Kersel - Samoan Siva Dancer - Onenoa Samoa Siva Academy
