Who is the HAZOP Leader Training for?Â
The HAZOP leaders training is suited to professionals with 5 years experience as a technical specialist in process safety across the mining oil & gas industries who and would like to specialise in technical safety and risk assessment and facilitation.
This HAZOP Leader (TÃœV) course is the only training for HAZOP leaders worldwide that is certified by an accredited body (PersCert TÃœV). Participants will secure a formal certification in their ability to lead process safety-related HAZOP workshops.Â
Accreditation
Personnel certification is a certificate issued by the accredited and independent
body PersCert TÜV.  PersCert TÜV meets international standard ISO 17024 when testing technical and

Course Details
With a small group of 8 participants, our Lead facilitators will provide practical and relevant examples to the Australian Mining, Oil and Gas industry. The course content is covered in three days with further days for final assessment.  The course materials comprise many activities designed to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of participants and provide a hands-on learning experience, some of which will contribute to the continuous assessment. The slides provide useful reference material.
At the end of the course you will be able to:
- Demonstrate mature evaluation of the HAZOP technique against the wider safety context, including the regulatory environment and other safety methods
- Apply multi-disciplinary engineering knowledge to lead and challenge the HAZOP study team
- Assess the importance of human factors to a successful HAZOP study in context of the design and operation of process facilities
- Devise and manage a HAZOP meeting, demonstrating a comprehensive and rounded application of different skills and capabilities to lead both technically and professionally
