HCAA November 2024 Newcastle General Meeting

Notice is hereby given to all members of the HCAA that we have a Newcastle General Meeting, being held on Tuesday 19 November 2024, commencing 6.30pm at Merewether Surf House, Newcastle.

6.00pm: General meeting opens 

6.30pm-6.50pm: General meeting starts – HCAA welcome

6.50pm-7.10pm

Presenter: Clare Coleman, Hunter Water

Clare Coleman, Team Leader – Plumbing and Trade Waste at Hunter Water, will provide a presentation on recent updates with Hunter Waters processes, specific to hydraulic engineering.

7.30pm-7.50pm 

Presenter: Zoe Brown, Credwell

Zoe Brown, Associate and Building Surveyor – Unrestricted at Credwell, will be sharing some insights into the proposed changes, impacting hydraulic and wet fire services, within the ‘Public Comment Draft’ NCC2025 Volume 1.

8.10pm-8.30pm

Presenter: Matthew Snelson, Indesco

Matthew Snelson, Director at Indesco, will provide a general overview on Seismic Restraints, including key design and installation principles relevant to hydraulic and wet fire services.

8.30pm: Socialising

9.00pm: Meeting closes
