Please come and join us for lunch at Wallsend Diggers to show our appreciation of you and everything you do to support our children and young people to celebrate carer appreciation week. Our wonderful Acting State Director Jennifer will be joining which will be a wonderful for opportunity for you to have a Q&A with her on all things foster care, Key Assets, and also provide us with feedback on how we are doing!

Alongside the lunch, our Support Work team will be hosting in the next room a pizza and movie party for the children and young people.

Please let us know how many children and carers from each household will be coming for catering purposes.

Additional Carer Resources

Key Assets Australia in NSW (KAANSW) offers additional online training opportunities and readings (eBooks and audio books) on a variety of topics for all carers and prospective adoptive parents (PAP). Courses and books can be completed at your own pace and on topics of interest to you. On Care2Learn you can also access the KAANSW Carer Information Sheets (previously called the Carer/PAP Handbook), (Available from March 2024) which provides an overview of important topics and questions you may have.
