This term, Te Ataarangi are running free, one hour taster sessions for people curious about He Waka Kuaka, our workplace reo development programme.
He Waka Kuaka is an immersive, workplace-focused te reo Māori pathway designed to build confidence and speaking skills in a supportive environment. Perfect for beginners or those continuing their reo journey!

Te Ataarangi has been a major force in the language revitalisation movement in Aotearoa for 44 years. Our mission is to teach the Māori language as a medium through which the wellbeing of the world and of human beings might be raised. Te Ataarangi ki Te Tauihu o Te Waka-a-Māui upholds this by fostering and promoting immersion teaching and learning opportunities across the Top of the South, with the aim of a strengthened reo capacity amongst whānau, hapū, iwi and communities.
