• Guest Speaker: Zarmeen Pavri, Executive Director, Head of Not-For-Profit Client Global Wealth Management, UBS

• Biography; Zarmeen Pavri is the Australia head of the Not-For-Profit (NFP) client business at UBS Global Wealth Management, managing Funds under management of over $1B. With close to 30 years investment and commercial experience, she has spent the last decade specialising within the impact investing, blended finance and sustainable investing sector. She is a highly regarded thought leader and public speaker, holding a market building role as the Oceania Regional Head for The Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN) (am impact think tank and standard setter), contributed to global research publications on how institutional mobilisation of capital using an impact lens across their portfolios, women’s entrepreneurship and how to use innovative blended finance for various types of asset owners.

  She has been a specialist Impact Investing Advisor to Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT); an impact fund manager for DFAT’s innovation portfolio over SE Asia, becoming a gender lens investing expert and she also ran a climate tech VC private angle fund with extensive experience within the startup and entrepreneurship ecosystem. She has been a Non Executive Director and advisory member on a variety of Boards, giving her Governance expertise with an intersectional focus on investment, risk, climate governance and social impact.

  Prior to her last decade within the impact and purpose driven sector, Zarmeen held several senior executive roles, including - Executive Director Strategy at Pengana Capital, Chief Operating Officer at MIR Investment Management and Head of Product Development at MIR Investment Management.

  Zarmeen was recently appointed and recognised as an Adjunct Fellow at the Centre for Social Impact, UNSW Business School, is a qualified Australian Chartered Accountant (ACA) and also an associate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD).
