Imagine Unity of Walnut Creek as a microcosm of the world we dream of — a place where each person can taste the reality of true unity: whole, safe, equitable, healed, and connected.
What if our community became living proof that such harmony is possible?

The Alchemy of Healing and Reconciliation in Beloved Unity Community invites us to step more fully into that vision.

On November 22–23, all community members are warmly encouraged to gather for this two-day, community-wide workshop. Guided with skill and compassion by Cynthia Brix and William Keepin, co-founders and co-directors of Gender Equity & Reconciliation International (GERI), along with their facilitation team, we will explore what it truly means to embody Unity—in our hearts, our relationships, and our shared spiritual life.

This workshop focuses on the healing of our spiritual community—and its wisdom applies to all spiritual communities. Over two days, we’ll engage the GERI process to create a safe, sacred space where women, men, and people of all genders can openly share and be witnessed—without shame or blame.

In this skillfully facilitated forum, we are invited to bring our personal stories of pain and truth and speak from the heart about our lived experience—not as victims, as witnesses to our lives. This is not about reliving pain; it is about transforming it. Together, we move toward deeper understanding, mutual trust, and a higher reverence for one another.

We recognize that many spiritual and religious communities, including Unity of Walnut Creek, have faced painful realities of sexual harassment and violation. In recent years, our community has done essential work—through deep listening, acknowledgment, and accountability—to restore safety for all.

Now, we are called into a new level of collective healing, truth-telling, and reconciliation—for all who are here now, all who have come before, and all who will come after. This is a sacred invitation to speak from the heart and be heard with compassion and care.

Participation in the GERI process is always by invitation—each person chooses their own level of engagement. Your presence, simply by being part of this healing container, is both meaningful and encouraged.

This Workshop Will Include:

• Invocation

• Sacred listening and witnessing

• Community agreements

• Small-group sharing

• A unifying truth forum to witness one another’s stories

• Shared visioning to claim our collective vision

• An honoring ceremony to seal this experience as a lasting energetic imprint on Unity grounds

Our Intention Is to Leave This Gathering With:

• A clearer, shared vision of Beloved Community

• A heart-centered, healing experience for ourselves and Unity

• A renewed commitment to make that vision real, so all may experience it
