Healing Betrayal Trauma | Discussion
Event description
Have you ever felt wounded by discovering your partner’s secret sexual behaviors? Questioned whether your reactions to their pornography use or sexual acting out were truly as devastating as they felt?
Join me for a group discussion where we’ll gently explore the concept of “Betrayal Trauma” the unique trauma that occurs when partners engage in sexual behaviours that violate our deepest bonds of safety, intimacy and connection.
In this safe, supportive discussion, we’ll explore:
✨ What betrayal trauma actually looks like for partners of sex and pornography addiction (you might be surprised).
✨ Why sexual betrayals feel different from other types of relationship hurt.
This session is suitable for you if you:
✨ Feel isolated in processing discovery of your partner’s pornography use or sexual acting out.
✨ Wonder if what you experienced was “normal” or actually betrayal trauma.
✨ Have been told you’re “controlling,” “the real problem,” or “making too big a deal” of their sexual behaviours.
What makes this discussion different
This isn’t about fixing your partner’s addiction or convincing you to stay or leave. It’s about creating space to examine your experiences with compassion and clarity. Whether you’re still in relationship, in separation, in recovery together, or years into your healing journey—you’re welcome here.
Ready for deeper healing?
This session also serves as an introduction to our upcoming 8-week “Healing Betrayal Trauma” Therapeutic Support Group, where partners of sex and pornography addiction dive deep into healing betrayal trauma through community, practical tools, and embodied healing practices.
No pressure, no sales pitch—just honest conversation about the betrayal trauma that partners of sex and pornography addiction carry and the healing that’s possible.
To honour the needs of sensitive, empathic, introverted, and neurodiverse participants, we limit attendance to a maximum of 7 women. This intimate size ensures everyone receives the attention and care they deserve. Women of all ages, life stages, faith and cultural backgrounds are warmly welcomed.
