We are excited to announce a new upcoming HealthTech Activator (HTA) webinar - Global Trends in Health Technology Assessment. This webinar will provide participants with an overview of some of the approaches used by decision makers in key markets when deciding on the value of a novel health technology, and some of the key trends that healthtech companies should be aware of.

Tune in to learn about:

  • Technology assessment in health economics and the difference between requirements of regulators and payers 
  • The types of health technology assessment agencies, and examples of trends in requirements across key markets - including the UK, EU, Australia, and Japan 
  • Considerations for healthtech companies when developing evidence of value, given global trends in technology assessment


This webinar will be presented by Thomas Paulsson, Senior Director of Value, Evidence & Outcomes (VEO) at GSK. Thomas has 20 years of experience working in senior health economist and evidence generation roles, including leadership roles with ThermoFisher Scientific, Bristol Myers Squibb, and AstraZeneca. Thomas holds a PhD in economics from Jönköping University, Sweden.

  • Friday 9 December, 9:00am-10:30am including 20 minutes Q&A
  • Cost: $25 incl. booking fee and GST
  • Attendance will be limited to enable attendees to engage in the Q&A session. 
  • Hosted on Zoom, questions submitted to the HTA team before the event will be treated anonymously by the moderator, and if time allows further questions may be submitted via the Zoom chat. Please indicate if you would like to submit a question in your registration for this event. 
  • The webinar will be recorded, but the recording will not include the Q&A.  
  • All who attend the webinar will also receive a copy of the slides.
