Healthy Choices: Why can it be so hard to do what is good for my health?
Event description
A free public lecture brought to you by UniSA Mount Gambier. Presented by Professor Susan Hillier and Dr Caroline Fryer from UniSA Allied Health and Human Performance.
We all basically know what to do to be healthy…or healthier at least. But simply knowing often isn’t enough to get us to adopt health behaviours or make healthy choices. You may have found yourself trying to kick a ‘bad’ health habit only to fall back into old patterns. You are NOT alone.
Why is this? It is not straight forward or simple. Maybe the answer involves your brain, your body and your environment.
Our health coaching research trial is investigating ways of supporting people to make healthier choices…and stick to them!
In this presentation, we will talk about the why and offer suggestions as to the how for making sustainable changes to improve your health
