Are you curious about what weird and wonderful critters live in our local waterways? GeoCatch are excited to invite local farmers and community to a unique, first-hand experience to see what life is thriving in Station Gully at this time of year.
Join the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) River Science team as they conduct their Healthy Rivers assessments. Sampling at this time of year highlights the importance of some of the dry season refuge habitats.
This is a unique opportunity for you to see what the river assessments reveal about our waterways. DATE: Thursday 5 December 2024
TIME: 9.30am to 11.00am
LOCATION: Station Gully, Quindalup South Rd - site address confirmed upon registration.
A light morning tea will be provided. Places are strictly limited. NOTE: Assessments in this area were last conducted in 2017 and an array of fish and crustaceans were found. The results can be found on the Healthy Rivers website. In addition to fish, crustaceans and macroinvertabrates, the sampling team assess connectivity, aquatic habitat, vegetation and water quality.
