Launch of the It’s Healthy to Fight Modern Slavery Educational Resource

We invite you to attend the Wagga Wagga launch of It's Healthy to Fight Modern Slavery, an educational resource designed to help healthcare professionals identify and respond to modern slavery.

The event will bring together the NSW Anti-slavery Commissioner, senior leaders from Murrumbidgee Local Health District, multicultural community leaders and key stakeholders to explore the intersection of public health and modern slavery.

The event will provide an opportunity to:

• Learn more about the new resource and how it can support healthcare professionals.

• Explore the role of healthcare professionals in recognising and responding to modern slavery.

• Gain practical guidance on recognising signs of exploitation.

• Understand why healthcare responses matter and the importance of trauma-informed, person-centred care.

• Explore opportunities to strengthen collaboration and responses to modern slavery across the Wagga Wagga community.
