Event description

In recognition of UN World Water Day 2024, and for our first event for the year, UNAA Victoria & UNAAV Young Professionals are hosting a screening of short film Heart of Country and conversation on Wednesday 20 March.

Heart of Country was launched by the Australian Conservation Foundation (ACF) at Parliament House late last year.

ACF is encouraging the Australian community to share the 18 minute film which "weaves together the stories and song lines of this huge and ancient continent, and the fight to protect it from damage caused by the fossil fuel and nuclear industries”.

“The documentary focuses on water and waterways as the lifeblood of Country, demonstrating the importance of preserving and protecting for future generations."

Join us to watch this powerful film and then join in the conversations about advancing First Nations justice and shifting actions towards hope.

Wednesday, March 20, 2024 at the UNAA Victoria East Melbourne office from 6pm.
