HEART OF SUMMER, Poetry & Art in the Garden, FIBER ARTS ~ June 16th
Event description
FIBER ARTS
Session 1 of the three-part monthly poetry & art mini retreat series
with Margaret Hartsook and Lisa Kagan
“Create space to pause and draw sweetness from each bright thing.”
~ James Crews
Come create with us under the luminous summer skies, allowing yourself to be transported by the magic of the Pacific Northwest peak summer evenings in Session 1 of this three part monthly mini retreat series. This offering embodies the spirit of a creative retreat paired with summer art camp for adults. We will read and write poetry in the garden as well as engage in play and discovery through nature-based art projects. During Session 1, we will create hanging fiber art pieces inspired by nature’s infinite wisdom of design. This mini retreat offers you a chance to awaken your creative spark in the majesty of the natural world, cultivate new ways of enriching yourself and your life, and nourish yourself in the supportive, uplifting company of other women.
This program offers space for creative expression for women of all ages and backgrounds. All women are welcome, including cisgender, transgender, and those whose gender identity aligns with womanhood. No writing or art experience is necessary. All art materials, as well as snacks and drinks, will be provided.

“This Touchstone Retreats program was one of the most soul-nourishing days I've ever spent. The silence of women making things is the most sacred sound I know, and you created a beautiful container for that.”
