HeartBeats: Feb 2025 [LOVE Editionš]
Event description
We're back with our first official HeartBeats of 2025! We have one month left of summer, so we're going to make the most of it and hold our Feb HeartBeats by the beach in Catani Gardens, St Kilda. This year we will be playing with different themes each month. Our Feb HeartBeats just soĀ happens to fall during Valentine's Week! The theme obviously needs to be LOVE. Dress in your expression of love. Bring performances that are themed around love - whether it's about finding love, being in love, heartbreak, or self love. Bring a date if you like.Ā It also turns out that each day of Valentine's Week has its own theme - Feb 9th just so happens to be 'Chocolate Day'. So if you feel generous, you're invited toĀ bring chocolate to share with those around you.

What is HeartBeats?
HeartBeats is an open mic at its essence, but it is so much more. It's a space toĀ feel welcome and safeĀ to share your open heart with a present audience who are primed to receive and show appreciation. Expressions come in the shapes and forms of music, poetry, comedy, or whatever the performer chooses. Due to the vast number of talented humans in the HeartBeats community, please get down early and put your name on the list, because we won't have time to put everyone on. Apologies in advance to those who won't make it on, but that's more reason to keep coming along. (* All who get up on stage will receive a complimentary cup of chai)

FEATURING this month:
Eddie FitzPatrick is an English-Australian songwriter, storyteller and facilitator who lives and loves on Wurundjeri Country, in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia. Growing up in the English countryside, she sang before she could talk, with her singing occupying her early years leading her to perform on stages including Buckingham Palace.
Now, returning to the voice as a facilitator and songwriter, she takes listeners on deep dives through all facts of the human and non-human experience, writing songs rippled with a deep authenticity influenced by the spirit of rebellion, Mother nature, historical practises of the bard and the delicate arts of gathering and ritual.
Often compared to singers such as Joni Mitchell, Gillian Welch and Jeff Buckley her shows weave story and song into collective moments of catharsis. Her debut album is set to be released in 2025.
- Kobe Helu
Kobe Helu is a mental health facilitator and rnb/soul artist who loves to dance, create, connect and love.Ā
Heās dedicated the last 3 years at The Man Cave to help equip teenage boys with the emotional tools to help better understand themselves, and also reduce the possibility of them hurting others in their community.Ā
While his self-development has been in the forefront of his recent journey, music is something that he has been deeply passionate about since birth. His love for soulful music was birthed through the influence of his Polynesian descent, and all time favourites like Eryka Badu, Daniel Ceaser and Anderson Paak.
He hopes for nothing more than to make people feel something when listening to his artform, and is starting his journey of live performance at Heartbeats!!Ā
Eliza is the loving founder of FeelGoodFlows.Ā FGF isĀ a wellness community born during Covid, and continues to grow.Ā
"Together we unite, connect, & celebrate life, with the ancient healing practice of yoga.Ā Whether itās offering a donation-based heart opening connection experience under the open skies every Sunday morning in St Kildaā¦Ā or supporting the most vulnerable members of society living alone in housing commissions and rehabilitation programsā¦ FeelGoodFlows is more than just yoga, itās a growing community, a movement."Ā
