About Shannon:

Heralding from South Australia, Shannon first started writing music to work through the depths of heartbreak. Inspired by the likes of Missy Higgins and Lizzy McAlpine, she bares her soul with confessional lyrics and heartfelt storytelling. Shannon crafts a sonic landscape of shimmering guitars, evocative folk melodies, and introspection. Shannon has come into the singer-songwriter genre after studying jazz professionally at the Elder Conservatorium of Music and playing the trumpet for the last 17 years. Her first single, 'Waiting', signifies the start of a new era for her as she explores songwriting and music with vocals and guitar for the very first time. Her diverse blend of influences and experiences create a unique sound with an empathetic and emotion-driven approach to music. Her debut EP explores the experience of moving through heartbreak and trying to process how to start over after loss. She sings about her acute experience of grief and the complexity of losing love all while remaining grateful and honouring what came before.

About My Chérie:

Since 2019, the solo project of My Chérie, has been building an impressive name in the Adelaide music scene, winning the National Live Music Awards 'Best Live Act in South Australia (SA)' in 2020. My Chérie is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, producer and performer established by local female, Queer, Afrikaans artist, Chérie. Performing both as a solo artist and with a band. Her lyrics tackle raw and emotive topics, largely focusing on the journey of self discovery when forced to find a way through changing cultures, spirituality, sexuality and a ADHD diagnosis. Having spent a childhood in South Africa, the impact and inspiration of her homeland is woven throughout her music and forms the basis of  immersive live shows.
