Join us for the Heidelberg Materials Lysterfield Quarry Safari Open Day at the Lysterfield Quarry.

This free, family-friendly event is a fantastic opportunity for the local community to come behind the scenes and see how a quarry operates to produce essential building materials throughout Melbourne.

We’ll be running 40-minute guided bus tours hosted by our Quarry Rangers, where you’ll explore the site, learn how rock is quarried and processed and get a closer look at our operations.

Alongside the tours, there will be plenty of fun activities for all ages, including:

• face painting and a jumping castle for the kids

• refreshments and snacks

• giveaways and information stalls

• heavy vehicle and machinery displays

• opportunities to meet our Quarry Rangers.

Important information:

• Bookings in advance are essential - places are limited for the guided tours.

• Children must be accompanied by an adult to join a tour.

• Please wear closed shoes for safety.

• As this is largely an outdoor event, please check the weather and dress appropriately.
