HEIM Discussion with Thread Together and Youth Projects
Event description
Join us for a thought provoking and engaging mediated discussion with prominent organisations, Thread Together and Youth Projects.
Thread Together: “Our model is very simple. We collect end-of-line brand new stock from clothing providers. With the support of volunteers, the clothes are sorted by age, gender, and purpose, and then re-distributed to people in need through charities across Australia. I think of it as redistributive justice.”
– Andie, Founder of Thread Together
Youth Projects: At Youth Projects, we are committed to breaking the cycle of disadvantage. We are an independent, registered charity which provides front line support to young people and individuals experiencing disadvantage, unemployment, homelessness, alcohol and other drug issues. We also help those looking to re-engage with learning and employment. We recognise the complex and varying needs of the people we work with and go above and beyond, 365 days a year, to provide pathways out of poverty.
This is sure to be a fascinating discussion. Register now to receive the zoom link via email.
