Hello for Hope Stupa Tour
Event description
An opportunity to be guided through the unique interfaith Peace Park at the largest Buddhist stupa in the western world.
The tour will include:
a short introductory film giving the history of the site
a guided tour of the Peace Park, focused on interfaith harmony with installations from Catholic, Jewish, Hindu, Sikh, Bahai and Buddhist faiths
step inside the Great Stupa temple where your guide will talk about Buddhist culture, architecture, art and future plans
stand in awe of beautiful relics and statues, including the Jade Buddha for Universal Peace
a chance for questions and answers throughout the tour
Attendees are encouraged to enjoy coffee prior or lunch after the tour at the Stupa View Café (at own cost). See the menu here: stupa.au/stupaview-cafe/
The tour involves walking on gravel paths.
Please note that the Great Stupa will be partially closed during our tour as the Kalachakra Mandala ceiling is being installed; we will tell you all about it! Very exciting.
The ticket price comprises:
$15 will be a donation to The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion
$30 will be donated to Lifeline Loddon Mallee
Bryley’s time has been donated for this tour
The tour will take place, rain or shine. If thunderstorms, we will reschedule to October.
It costs Lifeline $39 to answer each call and $3500 to train each crisis supporter to take those calls. Lifeline exists so no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
