Dr Jessica Belcher
Jessica Belcher is a member of the Lifespan Health and Wellbeing Research Centre at Macquarie University. She has a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology with Honours, a Master of Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Throughout her career Jessica has worked both in research and practice with children, adolescents, adults and older adults to improve mental health and wellbeing. Currently, Jessica’s main area of interest includes investigating why some high school students struggle with academic stress and anxiety, and looking at how we can best support all students to cope throughout their final years of high school, so that they can reach their potential both at school and in their future.

Currently Jessica is working with Professor Viviana Wuthrich on further evaluating the Study Without Stress program, a program that draws on both cognitive and behavioural strategies to support students through the final years of high school.
