Hen's Wing Broom Class
Come join us for a day of traditional broom craft! In this hands-on workshop you make your very own functional hens wing broom. We'll cover the basics of working with broomcorn, tying techniques, and the unique shaping that gives the hen’s wing broom its signature curve. Whether you're a total beginner or have dabbled in broom making before, you'll leave with a gorgeous hand broom perfect for decoration or practical home use. All materials will be provided. :)
Instructor Sophie Carkulis
Hi! I'm Sophie, a former kindergarten, Montessori, and art teacher who has transitioned into the joyful role of a stay-at-home mom and artist. My heart lies in the arts, particularly beadwork, a craft I first discovered from a class I took in Alaska. Most of my days are filled with gardening and outdoor adventures alongside my two wonderful boys, who constantly inspire my creative journey. I love turning nature’s beauty into intricate beadwork, particularly earrings, and I cherish every moment spent exploring the world with my sweet family and dog.
Important Notes:
