Her Music Speaks
Event description
Musica da Camera, Canberra's premier string orchestra, will celebrate Australian women composers with a program led by music director and conductor Shilong Le at 2:30 pm on Sunday, September 15, in the newly refurbished Gunning Shire Hall.
This excellent ensemble never fails to please. They have been welcome visitors to Gunning over 20 years, always bringing skill and joy to their performances. And you can expect them to deliver the same delight again this time.
We have a special offer for Good Samaritan Drivers bringing a carload of others, at least one of whom is unable to drive themselves. Good Samaritan drivers must phone 0429 906 834 to book their party
Our 2.30 pm start gives visitors time to browse Gunning's art, craft, and antique outlets or to enjoy pre-concert dining at one of our two cafes or hotel bistro.
We also suggest music lovers check out the Irish and Celtic Music Festival https://www.irishcelticmusicfestival.com/ see what is on offer in nearby Yass on the Friday evening and Saturday preceding the not-to-be-missed "Her Music Speaks" on Sunday afternoon.
