This session is designed for women and girls of all abilities to come and try wheelchair basketball in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment. No experience needed and no equipment to bring, we supply everything including sports wheelchairs.
Her Path to Play is about more than trying wheelchair basketball. It is a chance to connect with other women and girls, build confidence together, and be part of a supportive community on and off the court.
Session includes:
Expert coaching from Katherine Reed, drawing on her own lived experience and coaching in adaptive sport
All equipment supplied, including sports wheelchairs, so you can just turn up and play
Who can play:
Wheelchair basketball welcomes people with a wide range of physical disabilities, including spinal cord injury, cerebral palsy, limb difference, amputation, and leg length difference.
Girls aged 12-18 must attend with their parent/caregiver. Katherine Reed (Coach) is Child Safe certified and has relevant WWVP qualifications and Police Check regularly working in schools and universities for Wheelchair Sporting programs.
