WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT? Tribe Gatherings are safe, welcoming, inclusive and collaborative women's space that promotes connection, growth, learning and friendship.

This is a space where women come together to witness each other in our greatness and our fragility, a place to cry and laugh together, to be real and authentic and vulnerable and to support each other through all the gritty bits of life.

As human beings, we were built to live in tribes, to be part of a village, and yet modern life has created a world where we all live separate existences, spending so much energy trying to keep up appearances and pretend we have it all together that we are hiding the very part of ourselves that connects us…our humanness, our imperfections, our realness.

We’re meant to learn and grow and support each other as we go through the ups and downs of life.

So, lets create this space… lets create a tribe of messy, brilliant, imperfect and beautiful women that back each other, bear witness to each other’s humanness without judgement or criticism and allow ourselves to be seen, loved and supported exactly how we are.

We’d love to have you in our tribe xx

FACILITATOR BIO:

Shani Connard is the founder of Her Tribe. She is a well-being and relationship coach based in south east Melbourne and a solo Mumma to a wise and sensitive ten year old.

She thrives on supporting women to create more joy and connection in their lives and is passionate about ditching the outdated expectation that women should put everyone else first and themselves last.

With over ten years of experience in both mixed-gender and women's circles, she has cultivated a profound appreciation for the transformative power of being seen and loved in all facets of ourselves—embracing our humanness, imperfections, and unique beauty.

GROUP RULES

1.  Be real, be vulnerable be YOU.
Her Tribe is a place to be real, messy, vulnerable, brilliant and everything else in between. This is a space we leave our masks at the door and show up EXACTLY as we are that day.

2.  This is a judgement free zone.
Listen, hold space and perhaps offer your perspective if you have relevant life experience. Don’t judge other’s decisions or actions, we all do the best we can with the information and tools we have at that time.

    3.  Self-responsibility.
Her Tribe is an inclusive and welcoming space for women to come together to grow, share their life experiences, and build lasting friendships. We are not a support group or group therapy space. Participants need to be responsible for their own mental and emotional well being while participating and access appropriate support outside of tribe meetups.

      4.  Be KIND.
You never know what is going on in other people’s lives and kindness is FREE.

      5.  Respect confidentiality.
Authentic, raw and expressive discussions make groups great, but may also contain information that is sensitive and confidential. You may talk about your own experiences, but do not share other’s work, conversations or experiences without permission.

      6.  Listen and hold space when someone is speaking.
It’s so easy to interject with our advice or experiences (and there’s time for that too) But let the person speaking have the space and attention to share fully first.

      7.  Have each other’s backs.
In tribe we come together to witness each other in our greatness and our fragility, to be vulnerable and real and support each other. No criticizing, backstabbing or gossiping will be tolerated.

      8.  Support, not tribalism.
When we jump straight defend the person sharing, we rob that person of the opportunity to reflect and gain insight from their experiences. We want
to create an environment to support and witness each other, rather than just making the other people in the story wrong and bad.

      9.  No labels.
This is not a space to diagnose each other or put other people in a box. Humans are wonderfully complex creatures and we’re not qualified to decide other people’s labels.
