HERDSA (Vic) & WIL Australia (Vic/Tas) Snapshots 2026

In this in-person event, the local branches of HERDSA and WIL Australia will showcase selected highlights from the HERDSA Conference (Singapore | July 2026) and the WIL Australia Conference (Adelaide | October 2026).

This event includes a keynote panel followed by a series of presentations in different rooms. A number of posters will also be showcased on site. For the keynote panel, Emerita Professor Liz Johnston, A/Professor Darci Taylor and Leoni Russell will explore what “professional practice” means for contemporary higher education teaching and how emerging national frameworks can translate into meaningful improvements in learning, teaching and student outcomes. Bringing together perspectives from ATEC’s work on professional practice, the Quality WIL Standards Framework, and broader learning and teaching practice, the discussion will consider how standards, capability and professional recognition can work together to strengthen the sector.
