OUR PERFORMERS
JESSE MCCORMACK
With his clear, bardic voice, deeply imbued sense of rhythm, and intense devotion to his craft, Tasmanian troubadour Jesse McCormack performs Anglo-Celtic and Nordic folk songs and quirky original compositions. His minstrelsy escorts listeners into an experience of folkloric storytelling, conjuring a sound reminiscent of artists such as Steeleye Span or Loreena McKennitt and vibes of bohemian Achilleanism. ALASDAIR GREENBARD
Alasdair draws upon a rich tradition of Celtic mythology, poetry and folklore from his ancestral heritage, academic work and time spent in Gaelic-speaking communities in Scotland. With his harp Ètaìn, Alasdair does the work of a modern-day bard, connecting himself and others with the deeper intelligence of Nature, and with the wild wisdom inherent in the collective unconscious, brought to vivid life in the here and now with story and song. BEA PEARCE
Powerful, raw and wild, Bea Pierce is a murder poet and spoken word performer who takes audiences on a journey to meet and connect with the dark feminine. Drawing on her ancient Celtic ancestry, its divine goddesses speak through her, inviting modern men and women to reclaim their passion, spirit, belonging, identity and sexual power.
We were all wild once. Over the centuries, society has tried to tame us, cage us, burn us, erase our goddesses, our power and our history. But we are not gone. We have not only survived, we’ve grown stronger. We are the wild voices. And we honour the wildness in our hearts.
