Come mingle, celebrate, and show up queerโ€”itโ€™s going to be an unforgettable night! ๐Ÿณ๏ธโ€๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ’ƒ

Kasumi's concept, style and variation have very strong characteristics of traditional Japanese beauty and culture, which receives profound influence from the upbringing of ikebana/kadล (flower arrangement), sadล/chadล (tea ceremony) and fine kimono. She brings a refined, haunting aesthetic, combining elements of Japanese culture with Kinbaku as kyokuero (eroticism) and ku (suffering).

Kisa, is a Melbourne based, half-Japanese Shibari artist, who discovered her love for rope in 2020. She uses Shibari to express her love of vulnerability and connection. For Kisa,ย the art of rope becomes both a personal and cultural expression, drawing audiences into her journey of relinquishing control and embracing the beauty of suffering.

Terra (she/her) is a top-leaning switch, first exploring rope in 2016, she loves both the technical / academic side of rope and the deep emotional connection with another person that rope can initiate. She enjoys the wide spectrum of what rope can represent, from the sensual to the sadistic, from free form to comprehensively structured. Over the past few years, she has enjoyed working with MCR. As a newcomer to performing, she is eager to further explore this exciting avenue.

Halcyon (they/she) is a masochist and experimentalist by nature and, on discovering shibari, immediately fell in love with the interplay of physicality and vulnerability. Halcyon is especially drawn to Semenawa expressions of rope that allow them to meet with gladness the limits of their own body and explore the darker corners of their emotional connections. As a model, Halcyonโ€™s approach to rope is grounded in self-expression and empowerment. They seek to challenge traditional norms in the rope community, shifting the focus from idealised forms to the unique beauty of each individual body, each experience, each incredible connection.

Succubus (she/her) is best described as an organic erotic chaos gremlin. She has been tying since 2011 and currently teaches (shares chaos) with Melbourne Community Rope.ย

With an eye for aesthetics and a taste for debauchery, Succubus makes her way around a body in rope, telling a story, unique to the moment and always with her rope bottom as the main dish. From toe rope to hair rope, she feasts on the deliciousness of titillating partials, torturous predicaments and or cheeky mind games that keeps her rope bottom on their toes (or knees...)

The noxiousblossom (They/She) is a rare botanical breed that seeds from Melbourne. During the colder months, sheโ€™s more likely to be found hibernating with their collection of felines and gathering nutrients to prepare for the change in season. As the warmth blooms, so too do they.ย

Unfurling, noxiousblossom turns her petals to the golden strands of jute, as together they dance through twists and turns, she takes shape in her full unfolded organic dance with the rope, and their rope partner Succubus.ย

Playfully they balance on the edge of peaceful satiation, and emotive suffering.ย

Be not fooled by their rouge exterior, for her horns are heroes that protect the sweet.
