    Bendigo Winegrowers Heritage & Hidden Spaces Wine Walk 2024

    NOW FULLY SOLD OUT! Join us for a day of wine tasting and exploration. Move between 10 Bendigo CBD locations, some hidden, some historic, and some only open only for this event.

    Move at your own pace, from one venue to the next, discovering new wines, new tastes and the stories of the incredible buildings and spaces.

    All venues are located within Central Bendigo and are easy to walk between.

    The Bendigo Heritage and Hidden Spaces Wine Walk is the flagship event of the annual Bendigo Wine Week program, a fabulous calendar of wine events from Friday 11 October to Sunday 20 October. Stay tuned for a full program release soon.

    Multiple. There are 10 venues to explore. Your starting venue is selected at the time of booking. Move on to other venues at your own pace, in any order. Be sure to pace your day accordingly to ensure you get to every venue.

    What's new in 2024

    VIP Experience
    Upgrade to become a VIP on the day and enjoy extra perks designed for all kinds of wine lovers! With special access, unique tastings, and personalised service, this package is perfect for those looking to make their day even better.

    Your VIP Experience includes:

    • An exclusive premium wine tasting and food experience at Alium Dining at your chosen session time.
    • Access to the VIP area all day, located at the Beehive building.
    • Special access to limited-release wines from participating wineries
    • Exclusive tasting of premium and rare wines
    • A unique lanyard to be easily recognised by our winemakers and venues as an event VIP.

      *Upgrade needs to be added for each ticket holder, $50 per person.


    Session 1: 10:00am (45mins)

    Premium Red Wine Experience, hosted by our Winemakers

    Start your Heritage and Hidden Spaces event with a premium red wine experience hosted by five of our winemakers, matched to beautifully crafted food from the Alium Dining kitchen.

    This is a VIP-hosted and seated experience, as you explore premium and aged red wines that are exclusive to this session.

    The winemakers in attendance are from Black Wallaby, Trutta Wines, Burnt Acre, Mandurang Valley, and Sutton Grange Winery.

    Session 2: 12:30pm: 

    The Sommelier and the Winemaker, hosted by Alium Dining Sommelier Nicolas, and guest winemaker Ken Pollock from Blackjack Wines.

    How does the assessment and general opinion of a wine differ between a wine maker and a sommelier?  Nicolas and Ken will talk you through the wines presented, as you enjoy them with thoughtful food matches from the Alium Dining kitchen.

    The selection of premium wines presented are from Water Wheel, Glenwillow, Sandhurst Ridge, Blackjack and Turners Crossing.

    All wines presented in both sessions will be available for purchase in limited quantities, with special pricing and free delivery for VIP patrons.

    Bendigo Wine Cocktail Club
    Introducing our Bendigo Wine Cocktail Club at Babylon! Each ticket will also include a refreshing wine-infused cocktail when you arrive at Babylon. Be sure to pop in, unwind, and relax!


    How to book

    Step 1: Choose either a General Ticket or Food Upgrade Ticket.

    Step 2: Choose your start venue.

    • General Tickets: Start from Bendigo Brewing, Bendigo Ernest Hotel, Black Swan Hotel, Gigi's Wine Bar & Deli, or Mining Exchange (The Beehive).
    • Food Upgrade Tickets: Start from Babylon X The Woodhouse Collab, MacKenzie Quarters, The Dispensary, Wine Bank on View or Yi Yuan Chinese Garden (Golden Dragon Museum).
      • Food tickets include 4 pre-booked dishes. This year, we have 5 food venues, so your 4 dishes will be randomly allocated. Your first dish will be served at your chosen starting venue, with the remaining 3 dishes listed on the back of your lanyard. You'll enjoy 4 dishes across the 5 venues, so make sure to choose your favourite spot as your starting point when selecting your ticket!

    You will have time to get to all venues throughout the day. Make sure you plan your route and divide your time accordingly.

    Step 3: VIP Upgrade: Elevate your experience with a VIP upgrade on the day, offering exclusive perks for the biggest wine lovers! Tickets are limited. You’ll see the option to upgrade after selecting your ticket type and venue. The upgrade costs $50 per ticket, and you'll need to choose your exclusive tasting session time when booking. 

    *Upgrade needs to be added for each ticket holder, $50 per person.

    Step 4: Register for our Wine Concierge Service to enjoy free grouped delivery on wine orders of 6 bottles or more. Registration information will appear for each ticket at the end of checkout. On the day you will receive a unique order number to present to participating wineries, who will ship your ordered wines from across the day for free the following week.

    Step 5: Ensure you complete the ticket information fully and accurately.

    Step 6: On the day, head to your starting venue to collect your event lanyard and Bendigo Wine tasting glass, and kick off your first tasting!

    Ticket pricing 

    Choose which ticket type you would like plus our VIP add-on.

    • General ticket: $85 (All venues, tastings and buy food as you go)

    • Food upgrade ticket: $139 (Includes 4 pre-booked dishes at select venues)

    Wine Concierge Service

    To ensure a seamless experience and relieve you of the burden of carrying purchased wine bottles, we are offering a Wine Concierge Service. Register, and you'll receive free combined delivery on all orders of six bottles or more from participating wineries. Your order will be delivered after the event, allowing you to enjoy your day hassle-free while moving from venue to venue.

    Each ticket holder can register, so be sure to coordinate with your friends before completing your booking. If you’d like to group your orders, first select yes and enter your address into Ticket 1 info, then select ‘Group delivery (use the delivery address supplied in ticket 1)’ for all other tickets.
