Heritage New Zealand Akaroa Tour
Event description
Take a bus tour with Heritage New Zealand Pouhere Taonga to the stunning Banks Peninsula town of Akaroa. This is a chance to visit and learn about three significant sites in Akaroa: Takapūneke Reserve, Akaroa Lighthouse and Akaroa Orion Powerhouse. We will have the opportunity to explore the sites, hear from experts at each site and take lots of photos. All entry fees are included in the ticket.

Akaroa is very busy in February so we’d recommend you either self-cater a packed lunch, or buy an add-on packed lunch ticket (club sandwiches, sweet treat and fruit).
We will meet at the University of Canterbury Arts carpark off Clyde Rd. Parking at the nearby University of Canterbury is free in the weekends, so cars can stay there during the day. Note there are roadworks on Clyde road, so access to Clyde road is best from Riccarton Road or through University Drive.
