Description

What does it take to help lead, grow, and protect one of Cincinnati’s most beloved brands?

Join HERizon for a special conversation with the women behind Graeter’s Ice Cream as we explore leadership, legacy, family business, career growth, and what it means to steward a company that has been part of our community for generations.

We’ll hear about their individual career journeys, the mentors and opportunities that shaped them, how they’ve found their voices as leaders, and how they balance honoring tradition with continuing to move an iconic brand forward.

Expect an honest, inspiring conversation about women, work, leadership, and legacy - with a little ice cream along the way.

Lunch is included courtesy of Tableful.

This is a FREE event. but donations via https://givebutter.com/the-herizon-series are greatly appreciated to keep it accessible.

This month's speakers:

Annie Graeter Annie is a fifth-generation member of the Graeter's Ice Cream family. Before coming back to the family business, she spent a decade in the outdoor industry, specializing in risk management, business development, and training & leadership development. After roles in retail leadership at Graeter's, she now focuses on new systems implementation and production planning at the Bond Hill facility, proudly carrying the family legacy forward. A mom of two young girls, she can often be found at a Graeter's store ordering Boldly Bearcat and Midnight Snack.

Shannon Sherrard Cincinnati born and still proudly rooted here, Shannon has built a life shaped by a passion for food and the people enjoying it. Context and creativity fuel her, and she thrives on connection: meeting people and building relationships that matter. She's driven by fostering confidence, development, and genuine human connection, and she believes in stepping back to examine what keeps us up at night, shifting perspective when needed, and giving ourselves grace as we grow. Her greatest accomplishment? Her family and three incredible kids.

Margaret Peters Margaret chose Cincinnati 33 years ago and stayed. She's spent her whole career in procurement and planning across a variety of industries, and saved the best for last (or dessert) when she joined Graeter's in 2023. Her passion is her "village": family, work, mentors and more. We're stronger with support, and better when we pay it forward. Her three rules: know and support your villages, look for options because the world isn't black and white, and be kind.
