HEROINE

The Loveys embark on the most heroic journey of all - getting old! We’ve called our new show HEROINE. It is, as usual, hilarious, hip and heroic with the added admission that aging is not for the faint hearted. Never fear, The Loveys are here to help!

We offer life skills, handy tips, survival techniques, health and beauty advice, fashion insights tucked inside great songs and harmonies, musicianship, style and a huge dose of humour. We are hilarious, hip and heroic, and we want to take our important message to women and men across Australia.

The Loveys span four decades - from age 47 to 77 years old, and HEROINE is based on the idea of the heroine's journey - a different kettle of fish from the traditional hero's Journey.

We tell our own personal stories through original songs - all powerful and honest reflections of four different women's life journeys, all at different stages. We hope that our audience can relate to our stories and find delight and solace in our sharing. We have written a bunch of new songs - including Polyamory, You Look Good On Paper and Back on the Toast, a catchy love song to hot buttered toast to which most modern women will immediately relate.

So get on board the Loveys Train - we’ll take care of you on the journey!

SHARA MUSIC TEMPLE - this is a house concert, we can seat up to 50 people at a private home in Ocean Shores. Please arrive by 5pm, and the show will commence at 5.30. We have drinks and snacks (by donation), and we'll also have CDs and merchandise for sale.

This concert is to support us on our small tour to Canberra at the end of August.
