Event description
Healthy Equal Youth (HEY) Day celebrates the work of the LGBTIQA+ sector in Victoria, showcasing new projects and research that intend to improve the mental health and wellbeing of LGBTIQA+ young people.
We are excited to announce the recipients of the Round 11 HEY Grants, a grant program that supports innovative and youth-led projects for supporting LGBTIQA+ young people across Victoria.
This year's event will run in three separate sessions on 30 November:
ACT ONE
9:00-10:00am: Announcements and Film Screening: Screen STILL ME
ACT TWO
12:30-2:00pm: Workshops
- Coming Back From COVID: A Worker's Guide
- Engaging Young People for Better Youth Participation
- Mental Health Reform for LGBTIQA+ Communities
ACT THREE
4:30-6:00pm: Panel discussion by and for QTIPOC young people, hosted by Todd Fernando, Commissioner for LGBTIQ+ Communities
HEY respectfully acknowledges the traditional custodians of the Aboriginal nations within Victoria where our work takes place. We pay our respects to Elders past and present. We acknowledge that Aboriginal sovereignty has never been ceded, and that this always was, and always will be, Aboriginal land.
