Hiccup - A Sustainable Art Party
Event description
Hiccup_
Hiccup is a new creative collective pairing art & music with a purpose. Experimenting with methods of sustainable art practice and events, Hiccup exists to build awareness and raise funds to fight the current climate emergency.
Inspired by current climate themes, artists will be building sensory installs using all repurposed, recycled and borrowed materials. We're working with Marrickville Bowling Club on measures to cut carbon emissions and eliminate the use of non-biodegradable items.
Funds from this event will also be donated to Friends of the Earth Australia, one of the largest grassroots environmental networks who campaign and promote solutions on urgent environmental issues. A portion of proceeds will also go to Reverse Garbage in Marrickville for the donation of materials.
Hiccup is supported by Inner West Council as part of the EDGE Sydenham program.
