A drawing workshop sharing ~ Wonder, Pattern and Form
Experience geometry as a universal language and a meditative and contemplative practice using traditional tools, a compass and a straight edge.
All materials are provided including online tutorials for home practice. No skills required.
Day One - Saturday 14th September - The Plant World
Explore from the roots up the cyclical patterns of The Plant World covering topics on Mycelium, Seeds and Flowers.
Stephanie will draw upon miraculous species and lead students through an array of geometric constructions, discussing the interconnected world you live in. Spirals through drawings include ~ Fractal nature, Symmetry & Proportion in Eucalyptus Seed Pods, The Mushroom Vortex and The Banksia Spiral.
Day Two - Sunday 15th September - The Ocean World
This workshop explores the World of Order & Chaos and the importance of timeless forms and patterns in nature, deepening one's connection to the wonder and importance of the ocean.
Stephanie will draw upon the geometric patterns of microscopic Diatoms, Seashell spirals, Corals, Turtle Shells and the four fold nature of Jellyfish complimented by discussions on Archetypal forms, Symmetry and Natures efficiency and ability to self correct and harmonise.
$70 for one day course or $130 for both days
