Hidden Howick: Glow worm discovery night!

Join us as the sun sets over Mangemangeroa reserve for a FREE guided community walk through one of Howick's many hidden natural treasures as we search for nature's most dazzling light show - glow worms!

These tiny little bioluminescent creatures find their home in the damp banks of the reserve and put on their best show after dark. We'll walk the track as the sun sets, keeping voices low and lights down so the glow worms are allowed their moment to shine!

This is a free, family-friendly community event

What to bring?

• Sturdy footwear

• Water

• Weather appropriate clothing and gear (moderate rain won't stop us, so bring a jacket!)

• Torch/phone light
