Clara Darcy and the Medicine Women

Clara Darcy and the Medicine Women are a folk rock band who have been playing at bars, clubs and cafes in Melbourne since 2023. Clara debuted in the local folk 'scene' sitting on a milk crate in a park with friends, singing together to Sufjan Stevens.

The band grew into a bluegrass trio and then added a trombonist and drummer to form their current outfit, heavily inspired by the mid-seventies wanderings of Joni Mitchell through the jazz idiom. A shared love of all kinds of music that are lo-fi, vernacular, archival or bootleg gives the band an off-beat sensibility, which manifests a certain bashfulness on stage, and the urge to make the studio sound like they are in the tail end of a record contract that has outstayed its welcome.

Kaytlyn Johnson

Kaytlyn Johnson is small-town songbird commanding big dreams, entrancing indie-pop/folk audiences across Melbourne and beyond. Her music is a bucket, collecting you within an ocean of her stories, transporting you to her hardest times, deepest fears and most desperate desires. You will swirl within a fusion of folk, pop and rock whilst keeping lyrical intricacies and poetry at the forefront of Kaytlyn’s sound, which has been likened to Lizzy McAlpine and Gretta Ray. As a young Palawa woman, Kaytlyn is inspired to write about her identity, her hardship and her painfully passionate approach toward her ambitions.

Before having released any music, Kaytlyn had already performed with GRAMMY® award winning artist Lucky Oceans and opened for Australian pop-icon Thelma Plum. Kaytlyn has now completed her first headline tour and is celebrating her debut EP release, Power of the Prettiest Kind, in 2026. 

Miguel Brooking

Hailing from the countryside of south-west England; Miguel’s Journey has spanned half the globe and endured the vertigo of unpredictable plot-twist. Setting aside Acting in 2020 and reaching for his guitar; he has spent the last few years recording catalogue and developing his live show in Melbourne, Australia alongside a 6-piece band of some of the city’s finest.

‘Miguel doesn’t just release songs, he exhumes entire chapters of his life and each release seems to become more of an excavation than an exercise in songwriting.’ – Joshua Crowe writes in a recent interview for Babystep Magazine.

Miguel’s music has begun rippling across hemispheres – with sights set for festivals and expanding audiences on the horizon.

Sammy Snide

Meanjin-based singer-songwriter Sammy Snide has steadily built a reputation as a storyteller unafraid to bring vulnerability to the forefront. His songs feel lived-in: smoky campfire warmth meets modern folk clarity, carried by a voice that lands somewhere between comfort and confession. Backed by a cracking band of wildly talented musicians, his sound continues to evolve with a contemporary edge while remaining rooted in the heart of Australiana

Snide’s music continues to resonate across Australia, earning him airplay, rotations and attention from Double J, ABC Country, ABC Grass Roots, Edge of Country, 4ZZZ (including an on-air interview), Triple J Unearthed, and features in Tone Deaf’s AMRAP Australian Music Picks, alongside mentions in Countrytown. His growing presence across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube further highlights an artist steadily building a dedicated, connected audience.
