High Country Flyathlon

Do you like trail running, fly fishing or craft beer? Yes! Welcome to the inaugural High Country Flyathlon, Australia's first official flyathlon. You're only a few steps away from registering, signing up for a whole lot of fun and committing to supporting conservation projects on the rivers of the north east.

Stumbled here unaware of what this is all about? Come run along beautiful swooping single track but don't forget your fly rod. During this 13km trail race you'll have to catch a trout in the beautiful crystal clear headwaters of the Delatite river. Submit a photo of your fish to earn a time bonus on your run. Don't catch one then its a DNF unfortunately. Afterwards share a meal and a local beer around the campfire. Camping at the trail head is encouraged.

This event is not-for-profit, a fundraiser for river conservation projects in the North-east Victoria.
