High-Risk Driver Course (In Person)
Description
This program is for those who have engaged in risky driving behaviors and have been mandated by a court to attend. During this four-hour class, you will have an opportunity to learn how you can make a positive impact on your driving future.
This class will help you:
Understand how your emotions impact your driving behavior
Recognize how the choices we make while driving can impact others
Learn crucial rules of the road to be a safer and more confident driver and to help lower your risk of a repeat offense
Important to Know
When registering to attend you will need your:
Driver License number
Citation number
The name and address of the court that directed you to take this class
At check in on the day of class, you will need to provide your:
Photo identification
Citation
Note: Any missing or incorrect information will prevent and/or significantly delay your attendance notification being sent to the court. Salem Health is not responsible for consequences resulting from incorrect information given during registration.
Check-in for class begins 1 hour before class starts. Late arrivals will not be admitted.

- Can I sign up when I check in?
No. Registration for this class is required and must be completed at least 24 hours prior to the start of the class.
- Can I pay when I check in?
No. Payment must be made at the time of registration.
- I may be a few minutes late to the start of class. Is that OK?
To avoid interruptions, those who arrive late will not be allowed to enter.
- How will the court know that I have taken this class?
You will be provided with a certificate of completion at the end of class, after attending the class in its entirety and passing an exam about the course content. You can provide this certificate to the courts as proof of completing the High-Risk Driver Course.
- Do you have an online version of this course?
Yes! Please click this link and then select the Virtual High Risk Driver Course option. Note: not all courts accept the virtual version of the course. Please confirm with the court that they do accept it.
- Can I get a scholarship for this course?
This course is not eligible for scholarships.
- Does the name of the individual registering for the class have to match the payment information?
No. However, the name of the individual registering for the class must match the citation or case number given by the courts. If the names do not match, the courts will be unable to link your class results to your case.
- I need an interpreter for this class, what do I do?
We can accommodate interpreters for languages other than English and Spanish. We will need to be notified 3 weeks before the in-person class about the need for an interpreter. Email us at: CHEC@salemhealth.org for assistance.
- Can I be referred to take this course from courts other than those listed on the event registration form?
Not at this time.
- Do I have to pay with a credit card?
This registration website accepts payment with debit or credit cards, as well as alternative forms of payment like PayPal and Google Pay. You may also pay with exact cash or check by visiting our center during normal business hours.
Please note that payment is not accepted the day of the class. Payment and registration must be completed at least 24 hours before the start of class.
