Enjoy High Tea at May Gibbs' Nutcote.
Each High Tea* includes a selection of freshly made finger sandwiches, two of our delicious homemade scones with jam and cream, sweet treats and your choice of our range of Queen Victoria teas or plunger coffee. Children can enjoy our Gumnut Tea which includes a cheese sandwich, cupcake, cookie and juice or flavoured milk. Available for children under ten. *Vegetarian and gluten free available on request. High Tea is served on the undercover terrace.
Nutcote is open to the public 11am - 3pm.
High Teas can be served anytime between 11:30am and 1:30pm. Just check in on the day to confirm time.
A guided tour of the house be purchased with High Tea of the reduced rate of $10/person, Please allow at least 30 minutes for your tour.
These tickets are for groups of six people or less. Bookings for groups larger than six people are available. For larger groups please contact us to check availability and for more details on our special group high tea packages.
Nutcote is the beautiful harbourside home and garden of May Gibbs (1877-1969), Australia’s foremost children’s author and illustrator and best known today for her iconic story, The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot & Cuddlepie. Both the house and the garden have been restored so you can experience how May lived and worked at Nuctote in the 1920's.
