  • Sound Experience: The soundscape is powered by Costa Sound, ensuring a top-tier auditory experience that resonates with the beats of the night.
  • Safe Space Policy: Higher Ground emphasizes creating a safe space for all attendees. Inappropriate and antisocial behaviour is strictly prohibited. Event security, bar staff, and crew are available to ensure the safety and comfort of everyone present. Violators of this policy may be removed from the event and potentially banned from future events.

    DJ Lineup: 
    Manix aka Mitch Watterson is the Co-creator of HIGHER GROUND EVENTS, a true lover of dnb, bass house, psytrance, and everything in between. Manix’s Forte and passion lives in a bass filled dance floor at the peak of the night.
    CLAWFOOT_music aka @jessica.co.creative aka The co-founder of Higher Ground Events - Jess has been working in the Newy Muloobinba & the wider Aus music festival scene as an Art director, Performing, Artist & event coordinator/assistant since around 2016. Working for events like Mindsub, Burning Seed, Subsonic, Esoteric, Dragon Dreaming, Rabbits Eat Lettuce, FOTSUN, Groove in the moo, THIS THAT to name a few.
    Ohcult is a producer/DJ from Newcastle two and half years into dedicated studio exploration, who has an ear a wide array of musical styles. OHCULT has featured at events in Sydney and Newcastle hosted by Levitate, Lowfreq, Higher Ground, SHOOK, and SELECTS, and had his festival and doof debut at Subsonic Music Festival 2023 and Ipso Facto in early 2024.
    onefifteen aka @yobi.115 From a music-obsessed youth to a seasoned DJ and producer, the musical journey of yObi aka onefifteen has been a fusion of heavy and funky influences. Drawing influence from the heavy grit of metal, the steeze of hip hop and the cutting edge sounds of modern bass music in all its facets, onefifteen’s sets vary from gangsta halftime and trap, techy dnb, weird, wonky wubs, and deep dubstep, emphasising freshness, wobbly phatness, and pristine distortion.
    @DJNxtLvl is a seasoned DJ with over 20 years experience, captivating audiences across South Africa and London. Known for his electrifying performances at iconic venues like Ministry of Sound and The Egg in London, he specializes in genres such as Techno, Tech House, PsyTech ,Uplifting Trance, and House. His ability to seamlessly blend these styles has made him a favorite among fans of electronic music.
    @funksei aka Lachy G has a unique blend of mind-bending basslines, intricate drum patterns, and a fearless approach to pushing sonic boundaries, Funksei has carved out a distinctive sound that resonates with the most discerning of Broken Beat and Electronica aficionados.
    @Fadrz AKA Jarv has been contributing to the Newcastle electronic scene for over a decade now in a variety of genres, supporting some major names over the years from Newcastle to Sydney and all in between.
    Tomfoolery brings a playful twist to the world of techno; with a deep-rooted passion for the genre, he is a selector that loves to mix the dark and driving with the light and cheeky.
    Killionaire, an adventurer in the realms of ghettofunk and glitch, has now returned to her true love: breakbeat. First developing the passion as a punter in the ‘90s, she reignites the genre with an irresistible fusion of funk, swing melodies, and wobbly basslines that will make you move.
    Justin Gillies expertly navigates various party-starting genres - ranging from Commercial House & Dance, through to the Harder Styles, UK Hardcore & DnB. A decade-long adventure has seen him grace stages in both DJ and MC roles throughout Australia’s east coast states, and even to Bali, Indonesia twice. With a residency at the infamous King Street in Newcastle and the Head Organiser of Newcastle Premier Hardstyle event STYLE, GILLIES’ mission is clear: keep the party pulsing, leaving memorable imprints on the dancefloor.
    @PANNAK Meet Anna or more commonly known as Pannak, the dynamic DJ hailing from the vibrant music scene of Newcastle, NSW. With boundless energy and an unwavering passion for music, she’s become an emerging figure in the electronic music community. Her infectious performances have graced the stages of renowned Newcastle and Sydney events, such as Made on Sunday, Steppers, Rhythm at Dusk and Daydreaming.
