Highlands - A Winter Solstice Festival + Wild Feast
Event description
Join us to celebrate the light of the sun beginning a new solar cycle as we uncover the stories buried deep within all of us.
As the light shines into the dark, the seeds submerged in the Earth awaken, offering life and energy, a time for regeneration. Likewise, this is an opportunity for inner growth and transformation. To reflect on what has come before, get grounded in the present moment, and manifest what is to come.
A wild feast will kick start festivities and fill bellies. The spirit of fire will be forever present, igniting the offerings of the past and answering the calls of your inner desires and dreams as the awakening opens the door to an unimaginable cavort.
Working with the elements, and the emotive power of music and community, we will cast off the shadows, step into our power, dance, and forge forward into another solar cycle and evolution of our souls.
Music by Analog Cabin.
This will be a community collaboration with artistic and musical contributions from other creators, announced in the lead up or as a surprise on the night.
Wild Feast by Betties Kitchen + Moonacres Kitchen + Double Dip Diner @ 1pm, food cooked with love and creatively served up by a collective of local chefs and cooks with huge hearts and a passion for tantalising tastebuds. Please specify in the notes if you have any dietaries.

What to bring?
Warm clothes. On this day the sun sets earlier than any other time in the year. The darkness will envelope the country side as we enter the longest night. There will be fire at this event so please think carefully about the flammable nature of the garments that you choose to wear.
Durable shoes. This is a party in a paddock. Boots and enclosed shoes that you don't mind getting a little scuffed, are recommended.
How to prepare?
Where did you come from? What stories did your ancestors tell? What rituals would they have performed? Do some research, connect in and come ready to have a conversation, or a yarn around the fire.
You can BYO providing you take all of your rubbish with you. This is a zero trace event.
Where will I stay?
If you are interested in camping, get in touch with us by emailing bookings@trolleyd.com
Alternatively there may be rooms available at the Fitzroy Falls Function Centre.
Can I just come to the lunch? Or straight to the live music?
Absolutely. You can opt to show up at a time of day or pace that works for you, whether it's a delicious feast, a campfire natter or a techno foot stomp, we have something that will be sure to satisfy your inner yearnings.
