Join us for our second winter morning hike and sauna session on Sydney’s Malabar Headland, hosted by Trailblazer Sofia

Where: Meet at Malabar Boat Ramp

When: Sunday, 13th July 2025

Time: Meet at 8:45 AM for a 9:00 AM start

Distance: ~5.8km loop | Malabar Headland Loop

Grade: Easy–Moderate | ~1.5 hour walk

Wrap-up: Sauna session with Wandering Sauna and warm drink at Coastal Brasserie Malabar ~10:15 AM

Join Trailblazer Sofia for another peaceful winter walk, this time along the stunning Malabar Headland loop. We’ll wander through native bushland and dramatic coastal cliffs, taking in sweeping ocean views and fresh winter air. This is the perfect chance to do some whale-watching during the northern migration 🐋

After the walk, we’ll wind down with a relaxing private sauna session hosted by Wandering Sauna at Malabar Boat Ramp. For those feeling brave, there’ll be the chance for a refreshing ocean dip, followed by a warm drink and good chats by the water with your new trail friends.

This event is open to all experience levels — whether you’re a seasoned hiker or new to the trails, come along for a rejuvenating winter morning outdoors.

Itinerary Overview

9:00 AM – Meet at Malabar Boat Ramp, Fishermans Rd, Malabar

9:15 AM – Start Malabar Headland Loop (~5.7km, 1.5hr)

10:15 AM – Arrive at Malabar Boat Ramp for sauna, coffee & ocean dips

10:45 AM – Optional swim + warm drink post-sauna

12:00 PM – Wrap-up

Getting There

Public Transport: Take the 392 or 399 bus from Central or Bondi Junction and hop off near Malabar. It’s a 10–15 min walk to the boat ramp carpark.

By Car: Free parking is available at Malabar Boat Ramp Carpark, Fishermans Rd, Malabar.

What to Bring

  • Comfortable walking shoes or runners

  • Water bottle

  • Swimmers + towel (for sauna and/or ocean dip)

  • Warm change of clothes

  • Keep cup
