Travel instructions

Our festival site is accessible by public transport and by car. If you're travelling by public transport, please take either the 688 bus between Upper Ferntree Gully Station and Croydon Station or the 694 bus between Belgrave Station and Mount Dandenong. If travelling by car, please use the Event Parking on the Ferny Creek Recreation Reserve oval. Our Event Parking will be run and managed by the Scouts and will cost $5 per vehicle.

Entry instructions

Pedestrian entry to the festival is via the gate on the corner of Clarkmont and Hilton Roads.

After entry instructions

Please go to the ticketing marquee (at the entrance to the Hall) to either display your pre-purchased ticket or purchase a ticket. You will then be given a wristband which allows entry into the festival stages.

Hazards

The Ferny Creek Rec Reserve has three accessible stages. Depending on the weather preceding the festival day, some places can become a bit muddy. Terrain across the festival site can include stones, grass, bark and concrete, and is slightly uneven in some places. HMF encourages all of our guests to flag down a volunteer (they'll be wearing a bright pink vest) or call the number above if there's anything they can do to make your experience safer and more enjoyable.

Toilet location

At the entrance to the hall.

Accessible parking

Guests who require wheelchair accessible parking or disabled parking are invited to enter the Event Parking on the Ferny Creek Reserve oval (off Hilton Road) and disembark on the flat concrete area adjacent to the main Hall. Wheelchair accessible parking will be available in the Artist Parking area. Drivers dropping off passengers may need to do a u-turn or complete a lap to access the Artist Parking area, depending on traffic congestion. Please drive at walking pace only and with great caution. Please be aware that the Clarkmont Road/ Hilton Road corner entrance road will be closed to traffic from 10AM.
