The Early Doors Club at Hindley Social Club w/ The Ordinary Boys
Description
The Ordinary Boys (Full Band), live at Hindley Social Club
Sunday December 6th, doors 5pm
The Ordinary Boys are back, and they’re bringing the full band to Hindley Social Club.
Formed in Worthing in 2002 and named after a Morrissey song, they became one of the sharpest guitar bands of the mid-noughties, mixing the energy of The Jam and The Specials with a Smiths-style wit. Debut album Over the Counter Culture arrived in 2004 with the singles Maybe Someday and Talk Talk Talk, and Morrissey himself invited them to play his Meltdown Festival. Then came Boys Will Be Boys, which climbed to number 3 in the UK charts and is still a singalong staple.
After years away, Samuel Preston and the band returned this year with a new single, Peer Pressure, and their first live shows in a decade. Expect the old favourites and the new stuff, played loud, in a room with a stage, a bar and a crowd who know every word.
It’s an early Sunday session, doors at 5pm and done by 8pm, so there’s plenty of time to make an evening of it.📍 Hindley Social Club
