Historia: Beauty Routines

For children 8 to 13 years
Think your skincare routine is hard? Try slathering your hair in animal fat (and guarding it from rats overnight), washing your mouth with urine, or applying face cream made from literal poison. This month, we’re diving into the bizarre world of historical beauty rituals—from ancient to downright dangerous. You'll get hands-on with some historically inspired beauty treatments (on wigs, not you—don’t worry!) and uncover what people used to do for the sake of looking good.
