Historic Newton's 2025 Preview Party

Please join us on Saturday May 10 from 5-7 PM for the annual Preview Party. The Preview Party is an invitation-only event launching Historic Newton's House Tour.
The extensive renovation of this beautiful 1897 Shingle-Style/Colonial Revival house was the subject of 16 episodes of “This Old House.” Boasting a spacious entryway and wide front porch, the house is a classic example of turn-of-the-century construction. Details include original wood paneling, an ornate wood mantel, late 19th-century stained glass windows, and a unique cast bronze and painted slate fireplace.
The home was built for Jarvis Lamson, Jr., a senior partner at the Boston hat company Lamson & Hubbard. If you feel inclined, pay homage to the Lamsons by wearing a hat from your favorite era!
